A dream-like aristocratic villa in pristine grounds. Villa Bologna is one of the most elegant and grand of Malta’s fine aristocratic houses. Dating back to 1745, it was built as a dowry for a count’s daughter.
It has been lovingly cared for over the centuries, and embellished in the 1930s with elegant gardens with fountains, ponds, pergolas, a citrus grove and lawns, all of which are accessible to guests. The villa today retains its almost fairly-tale atmosphere in a quiet setting at the centre of Malta near the Presidential Palace and gardens of San Anton in Attard.
Villa Bologna, has recently erected a marquee in their grounds, which is designed to allow guests to enjoy the gardens of Villa Bologna whatever the weather. It is a state of the art structure with glass walls and a sprung parquet floor, overlooking the spectacular Dolphin Fountain which can accommodate up to 700 guests standing and 300 guests seated.
